Prof.
Fong Chan, Ph.D.
Prof. Fong
Chan is a professor and director of clinical
training (PhD Program) in the Department of Rehabilitation
Psychology and Special Education, University of Wisconsin¡VMadison.
From 1995 to 1999, he also served as Director of Research
for the Foundation for Rehabilitation Education and
Research, which provides research support for the Commission
on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, the Certification
of Disability Management Specialists Commission, and
the Commission for Case Manager Certification. Dr. Chan
is a licensed psychologist and a Certified Rehabilitation
Counselor. He is also a Fellow in the American Psychological
Association and a National Institute on Disability and
Rehabilitation Research Distinguished Research Fellow.
Dr. Chan has more than 25 years of experience conducting
applied rehabilitation health research in the topical
areas of psychosocial aspects of disability, multicultural
counseling, vocational evaluation and assessment, and
demand-side employment. He has published more than 150
refereed journal articles and book chapters. He is also
the editor of three textbooks, Case Management for Rehabilitation
Health Professionals, Counseling Theories and Techniques
for Rehabilitation Health Professionals, and Understanding
Psychosocial Adjustment to Chronic Illness and Disability:
A Handbook for Evidence-Based Practitioners in Rehabilitation.
